- There are lots of apples locally confused for this one, the Willow Twig in particular. The fruit is of the Blue Pearmain class and resembles Bethel due to its color and form, the flesh is different because it has more acid and is more coarse. In parts of Western New York, the Limbertwig is also known as the Twenty Ounce. There are different types of this apple (a small or red, large or green, etc.) which have their own entires in the cultivar.
