Benoni

The origin of this cultivar is contested. McGann claims it originated circa 1830 as opposed to Wilson's "recorded in 1835." Wilson also claims it was cultivated by Mr. E. M. Richards, and that Mr. Richards gave a brief account of this apple in the Magazine of Horiculture.
